Passport To The Unexpected In Dining

Grill at 1450 Passport to Dining

Expect the unexpected! Looking for a passport to the unexpected in dining? Sometimes Google can send you on an adventure that you didn’t quite expect. That is exactly what was happening to my girlfriend and I on our mid-week meet up. My Google search sent me to a new restaurant that is now open in The Grand Manor event space with a menu of global inspired tapas. Looking online, I must admit that I am perplexed on location. After reviewing the website, it is clear that we have to give it a whirl! First impressions….I am impressed! The passport to the unexpected in dining at this new joint is kicking it up a few notches. The decor, the bar, the look, and the feel works. Of course, the proof is always in the food and the overall experience!

Martinis & Tapas

We love our wine nights, but it is officially martini and tapas on a Thursday night at The Grill at 1450. Our passport to the unexpected is stamped. We have a martini in hand and three tapas on order. Our order is in for one tapa shrimp ceviche with jumbo shrimp marinated in a citrus-lime and chile sauce, puffed corn with a garnish of sweet potato. Yes, I said sweet potato. The kitchen has also prepared jerk chicken skewers and guava pork with fried green plantains. The presentation is impressive and fun! The food is delish. The couch is comfy, we have martinis and jerk chicken skewers in hand. There is nothing left to do but relax, rewind, and enjoy because it’s martinis and tapas time! And with happy hour until 8PM, there is plenty of time for a few extra stamps in our passports!
