Friday Date Night!

It’s Friday Date Night! We were cruising the main drag of Downtown Melbourne. How 50’s Vegas, right? Truth be told, little Downtown Melbourne is quite the Friday date night hot spot! The twinkly lights on the patio of the newly opened Ember & Oak sparked our curiosity. We love this location. The Chef clearly has a background and expertise in sou vous cooking which reflects in his food. Sou vous prepared meats are incredibly delicious, tender, and healthier. Our Friday date night has begun with a few craft cocktails and complimentary house cut, garlic, parmesan, and herb fries! Deciding on what to get off the menu between the mains and the sharables became a “no brainer”. Every menu item with the description of ingredients provides any foodies pallet a difficult time choosing.

What better way to do a Friday date night than sharing? The options for shareables are pretty awesome at Ember and Oak. First course: Wild Mushroom Bruschetta with ricotta, baby arugula, citrus-truffle vinaigrette, and pine nuts on a toasted sourdough. The second shareable that we dove into is quite unique and fun with an Asian flare! The 48 hour braised BBQ style Asian short ribs is a signature dish and did not disappoint. The ribs are topped with house made chicharones or fried pork belly and served with bibb lettuce. These ribs come with directions: eat them taco style! Ember and Oak provide a dining experience that brings people together. Fine wine, craft cocktails, signature charcuterie boards and atmosphere. This is a place to relax, unwind, and enjoy the people you are with with food that truly is highly quality, well prepared, and meant to be shared. Whether you are on a date night, girls night out, or whatever the case may be….enjoy the people you are with and the culinary experience that comes with it.
