Sneak Peek!

Cuizine Octopus Salad

Check out this little sneak peek into one of this year’s food participants in the 4th Annual Downtown Melbourne’s Food and Wine Festival! We are so excited to be a part of this year’s Melbourne Food and Wine Festival StrEAT Team of bloggers. As part of this amazing group of talented and passionate social foodies, we took over our Instagram Stories this past weekend when we highlighted one of this year’s culinary delights that you too will have the opportunity to taste at the Festival!! We headed out Saturday night for a date night. Sliding on my red stilettos, we headed to Cuzine Restaraunt and Lounge in Satellite Beach. Oh, what a night of diversified dining we were in for! It was really hard for us to decide what we wanted to eat. To be honest, everything sounded so good. We decided to get a few things and share them. Our first course, of course, is the martini. The martini menu is quite comprehensive, but I went for the jalapeno and cucumber. The perfect combo and right in my wheelhouse.

The appetizer special of the night was exquisite in execution, but scrumptious too! The bottom layer was crispy oyster tomatoes with goat cheese and duck fat. Holy cow, the duck fat was incredible! Okay, so this is the truth…I tried something totally new! There were rumors about the Warm Mediterranean Octopus Salad with olive oil, cherry tomatoes, and olives were to die for. The rumors were true! It was such a unique and yummy little starter dish! I am so glad that I went out on a limb and tried something totally new! For our main, we split the Burger Board which has a little bit of everything. The burger is served on a homemade bun with super crisp thick-cut bacon. It also comes with truffle hand-cut thin fries that I could eat all day long, every day. The board also includes a homemade coleslaw. The icing on the cake, so to speak, is the little root beer float that accompanies this board. How fun, right? Did we still get dessert? Of course! We polished off the night with a peanut butter cheesecake that was very light and heavenly with a swipe of homemade jam. Wah-lah, nap time! So much fun, we cannot wait to visit CuiZine Restaraunt and many others at Melbourne Food and Wine. Chef Zoran has so much passion and love for his food creation. Happy Chef, Happy Customers!
