We have been spending a little more time than usual at the tiki bar! Why? Because there is a brand new one on the river. What’s old is new again, is that what they say? A cool new transition started taking place in the last several months with new ownership at The Shack Riverfront and Tiki Bar. We scootched in on an average Friday night thinking we were grabbing dinner and heard a band and quite a bit of energy outside. We took a peek and were completely amazed at the new tiki bar outside. This tiki bar spans the entire patio and has an extensive creative AKA “your not so average” boring bar menu. The live music is quite clearly an incredible touch at any tiki bar, but the line up here is on par! Don’t forget to check it out! We could not resist staying for hours just to listen to the incredible voice of Alex Warner.
The Shack has so much to offer! We have enjoyed their tiki bar bites which ranges from crab wontons (yum! yum!) to steak kabobs, truffle mac and cheese and so much more! One of our favorite flatbreads is the “Land and Sea”! It has steak and crab with a lemon dill topped with shallot mushrooms. So, shut the front door and call me Fred! The bar staff is fabulous and can bring it on with martini’s, craft cocktails and beer. While the tiki bar is killing it, do not forget the new menu which can still be enjoyed with the view of the river and tunes in the background. Our favorite is the New York Strip with lemon rosemary dill. This baby may just melt in your mouth it is so tender and the flavor with that rosemary takes it to a whole new level. Check this out! The Shack is now offering Sunday Brunch sammy’s until noon! And yes, we kicked off #SundayFunday with a tiki bar bloody and a chorizo sammy with a view!
