Lunch in Downtown Melbourne on a rainy day in the middle of the week is a treat! It’s even more of a treat in the gorgeous and comfortable Crush XI! Jesse, my Space Coast Eats co host met up with me for a quick bite which turned into a pretty fabulous dining experience! After perusing the menu and a few extra goodies complimentary of Crush XI, we are overwhelmed a table of scrumptiousness. But, we ain’t scared! So, buckle up and we will share some of our favorite lunch in Downtown Melbourne bites. Jesse started off with a well crafted cocktail. The grapefruit margarita with eposado tequila, lime juice and grapefruit juice, hibiscus syrup, topped with a raspberry salt rim is so refreshing. Our starter bites were both a plenty in volume and flavor! First up, 3 Milks Fried Cheese. Next, we go for complimentary Nashville Hot Duck Tenders with spicy sweet sauce and bread and butter pickles. Last but certaintly, not least…..a Carmelized Onion Tart.
Now, for “the Mains”. I have seen where Crush XI had a new salad. The Steak Tai Noodle Salad with arugala, tomatos, mangos, rice noodles, mint, cilantro paired so well with the sweet and spicy lime vinaigrette giving it that kick. Add tenderloins throughout the salad and you have a major hit. Jesse, on the other hand, opted for the Skillet Club. This baby has a little bit of everything in a handheld bite including grilled chicken, ham, cheese, bacon, a few veggies and mustard. I think that Jesse and I agree, we give this new menu a big thumbs up and would hit this up again to try even more of the menu items. We are so excited about the new menu that they will be on the Space Coast Eats podcast tomorrow! (P.S. I topped my lunch off with a Espresso Martini)
