Just because these are the dog days of summer, it’s no excuse to miss a perfectly good date night. I am throwing my flip flops to the back of the closet and dusting off those heals. We are going out, baby! We are going out for a fancy schmancy 4 course meal! The Dog Days of Summer menu at Yellow Dog Cafe is back! This is a dealio. Amazing food that Chef Stewart is well known for on the Space Coast starting off with an appetizer and ends with dessert! Well, we actually started out with cocktails and soaking in the incredible river front view from the second floor before diving into our menu options. In all transparency, the signature Yellow Dog “cookies” are my favorite things about dining at Yellow Dog. They are a favorite aspect about dining at one of Brevard’s most beloved fine dining institutions.
4 Course Menu Selections
Our 4 course menu selections were made very strategically. Each menu is priced at $40 per person which includes an appetizer, salad, main and dessert. The Crab Bisque is a fav and we always go for it and not just because it comes with signature Yellow Dog “cookie” for dipping. I am super picky about my Crab Bisque, but this one is at the top of my list! We had different salads. The house salad has fresh berries while the Caesar has the option of fresh anchovies. We both could not resist the Filet Mignon with bacon bleu cheese butter compound, medium rare please. The sweet ending can only be summed up in a two words….dessert tray. This is never an easy decision, but I highly and I do mean highly recommend the peanut butter and chocolate cake. Tip of the day, eat half and have the rest with your coffee the next day! If you liked this recommendation, there is so much more!!
